Beyond the concerts, summer in Paw Paw is packed with classic small-town experiences. Cool off with an old-fashioned stop at Red’s Rootbeer Drive-In, browse fresh produce and local goods at the Paw Paw Farmers Market every Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., and don’t miss the special Friday Night Markets throughout the summer — including the first evening market on June 26th from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. outside of St. Julian Winery. Car enthusiasts can also mark their calendars for the Paw Paw Days Classic Car & Truck Show on July 24th and 25th.

2. Farmers Market

The Paw Paw Farmers Market is getting a fresh update this season, bringing it closer to the heart of downtown. The market will now be held at Courtyard Park, with Paw Paw Street closed between Kalamazoo Avenue and Niles Street to create additional space for vendors, shoppers, and gathering.

The Sunday Farmers Market will take place every Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., running from May 17 through October 18, with the exception of Wine & Harvest weekend. Shoppers can enjoy fresh produce, baked goods, handcrafted goods, and more while soaking in the walkable charm of downtown Paw Paw.

The market is also expanding its popular Night Market offerings this year with three Friday night markets on June 26th, July 10th, and August 7th all from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at St. Julian Winery, creating a fun evening atmosphere filled with local flavor, shopping, and community connection.

3. Red's Rootbeer Drive In

Red’s Root Beer Drive-In is a beloved summertime tradition in Paw Paw, serving up classic drive-in favorites with a side of nostalgia. From frosty mugs of homemade root beer to burgers, fries, and hot dogs, Red’s has been bringing families and friends together for generations. On warm summer evenings, the parking lot often fills with classic cars and community members enjoying the laid-back atmosphere that makes small-town summers so special. 5. Kayaking The Paw Paw River

For a tranquil outdoor adventure in spring (and all season long), paddling the Paw Paw River is one of Paw Paw’s best-kept secrets.
